OCA-NY is run purely on the good will and passion of volunteers. The organization is led by a (currently) sixteen member Board, the head of which is our President.

Board Members are required to be OCA-NY members, are  elected during the General Membership Meetings at the end of each year, and serve a two-year term.

OCA-NY annually hires one intern for its Hate Crimes Prevention Art Project, and two interns for its Summer Voter Outreach.

Other internships do arise when OCA-NY deems there is a need and adequate funding.

Founded in 1973, OCA Asian Pacific American Advocates is a national non-profit civil rights organization promoting and protecting the political, economic, and cultural rights of Asian Pacific Americans in America.  We are interested in working with anyone who shares our mission of creating a stronger America by advocating for the values of equal liberty and justice for all.
OCA-NY is a 501(c)(3) organization. Our financial statements are submitted annually to the IRS. All of our board members are volunteers.
