  • This annual leadership training is a joint program operated by the Japanese American Citizens League and OCA, the two largest Asian Pacific American membership-based civil rights organizations in the United States. This three-day summit gives 30 emerging leaders of the JACL and OCA an opportunity to learn firsthand about the current public policy issues facing our communities.Students

  • The OCA Summer Internship program brings Asian Pacific American (APA) students from all around the country to Washington, DC to intern full-time for a federal agency, Congressional office, or partner nonprofit. Scholarship - Since 1993, OCA has been providing assistance to deserving APA students to pursue their dreams of a higher education through the OCA Scholarship Program. OCA's headquarters in Washington, DC gives the OCA National Center an effective vantage point for monitoring legislation and policy issues affecting APAs. Receive information on OCA’s work around immigration reform, health care reform, higher education, hate crimes and Census.

Networking
With over 100 chapters and affiliates across the nation, OCA members have the opportunity to network and build connections both at the community level and at the national level. We encourage you to join your local New York chapter and get involved with New York City. Members also have the opportunity to get involved in chapter board meetings and at the quarterly National Board meetings as a chapter president or chapter representative!

Founded in 1973, OCA Asian Pacific American Advocates is a national non-profit civil rights organization promoting and protecting the political, economic, and cultural rights of Asian Pacific Americans in America.  We are interested in working with anyone who shares our mission of creating a stronger America by advocating for the values of equal liberty and justice for all.
OCA-NY is a 501(c)(3) organization. Our financial statements are submitted annually to the IRS. All of our board members are volunteers.
