In our ongoing effort to help build understanding and appreciation of different cultures and common issues with other minority groups, OCA-NY, in celebration of Black History Month (February), will be organizing people to attend two events at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, located at 515 Malcolm X Boulevard, Harlem. 

Wednesday, February 18, 2015 @ 6:30 p.m.
Hear from young writers and activists about the socio-political climate of American policing 
(This event is free, but seating is first come, first serve) 

Friday, February 27, 2015 @ 6/7:30 p.m.
Harlem Opera Theatre will salute Black History Month with songs of praise and protest in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the march from Selma to Montgomery and the 20th Million Man March on Washington, D.C.  
(The reception is at 6:00 pm and the show is at 7:30 p.m.  Reception AND show cost $40.00. Show ONLY costs $25.00)

OCA-NY is a 501(c)(3) organization. Our financial statements are submitted annually to the IRS. All of our board members are volunteers.
