​OCA-NY’S REACTION TO STEVE HARVEY’S APOLOGY FOR RACIST JOKES ABOUT ASIAN MEN
 
OCA-New York- Asian Pacific American Advocates is relieved that Steve Harvey  has made a public apology for his racist jokes about Asian men.
 
“This is a good step forward to heal the wounds that the jokes have caused the Asian American community as well as all communities. OCA-NY renew it’s request for a meeting with the producers of the Steve Harvey Show to discuss ways the show can highlight Asian American males in a positive and true limelight,” stated Chi Loek, President of OCA-NY Asian Pacific American Advocates.
 
OCA-NY Asian Pacific American Advocates-New York Chapter is part of OCA, a national civil rights organization that promotes the political, cultural, and social rights of Asian Pacific Americans.  The OCA-NY chapter is one of 100 chapters and affiliates of OCA across the country.
