• Organized over 17 community organizations for Road to Recovery: Building Solidarity and Healing in Sunset Park, a first-of-its-kind mutual aid and multicultural event for over 1,300 people in Sunset Park;
• Held our 15th and 16th anniversary of the Annual Hate Crime Prevention Art Project to educate young people about the importance of preventing hate crimes and demonstrating solidarity through art;
• Launched our series of free community self-defense classes for AAPI women, girls and femmes to promote community safety through martial arts in partnership with Soar Over Hate. Since March 2022, we have trained over 400 participants in basic self-defense and Muay Thai;
• Co-led the launch of REACH, the first statewide coalition of community organizations, educators and students to advocate for legislation that will mandate Asian American history in schools across New York state;
• Engaged in a dozen nonpartisan Get Out the Vote and redistricting educational campaigns across three boroughs.
